Class Descriptions:
Aerial Yoga Intro
A gentle introduction to Aerial Yoga. You will learn proper cues and placement of the hammock to make Aerial Yoga a beautiful experience.  If you have never practiced Aerial Yoga this is a great place to start and we recommend taking at least 3 Intro classes prior to advancing to an Intermediate level Aerial class. (See our All About Aerial Yoga section below to learn more and/or register for classes.)

 Aerial Yoga Intermediate
This class is a beautiful Aerial Flow with challenging postures -- including inversions -- to create a safe and healthy way to open the body into a state of health. Aerial Yoga is a wonderful practice for core and toning the body. (See our All About Aerial Yoga section below to learn more and/or register for classes.)

Ashtanga
An ancient form of yoga practice composed of a repetitious series of traditional postures. The combination of breath, energy locks, and focus creates a moving meditation.

Basic/Intro
This class is geared for students that think they cannot do yoga. A gentle class with a slight edge to create body awareness for a deeper meaning of life. This class will tone the body and create feelings of health and happiness.

Core Fusion
A flowing combination of Yoga & Pilates to create a toned core.

Flow
This class expresses the energy that surrounds the class. The Instructor will flow with the energy of the class with moves that engulf students in lightness, moving into postures with ease and creating a state of balance. This class teaches us grace and self love by expressing what the student feels with moves into the body to open and release stress. Appropriate for beginners to intermediate.

HOT FLOW
Come together and crank it up! Vigorous breath, music, and movement helps us explore our potential! Create heat as we move with breath, linking postures together into powerful flows. Have fun working out both the body and the mind as we challenge ourselves to handle intense sensations safely. Finally cool down, relax and let go, moving toward stillness and peace. (Room heated to approximately 80-85 degrees to gently heat up the muscles for greater flexibility.)

Kids Yoga
This class explores basic postures to introduce kids ages 5 and up to Yoga. When presented in a child's language, Yoga can help counter the stress experienced by young people living in a hurry-up world. This class will help kids relax by learning "Happy Breath," develop body awareness, find their inner balance, build confidence, concentration and just have some fun.

Meditation
Basic breathing and simple relaxation techniques to calm the mind and realize a meditative state.  An opportunity for both beginners and experienced meditators alike to take time out as part of a healthy, supportive, like-minded community to share and explore your own personal path of migration.

Next Step
This class is for yogis interested in exploring more challenging poses including arm balancing and inversions. There will be a warm-up flow then you will practice a posture like forearm balancing, headstand, shoulder stand, etc. Once you’ve had the opportunity to practice the new poses it will be incorporated into the flow.

yin
Yin Yoga targets the connective tissues of the hips, pelvis and lower spine, creating a more flexible and toned core by holding seated postures for three to five minutes at a time. This type of practice complements the more muscular styles of Yoga, bringing even more balance into your practice. Yin yoga is a very therapeutic, slow moving class that is well suited to beginners as well as experienced yogis looking to balance their overall practice.

yin & Yang
A short vinyasa flow balanced with a series of Yin postures. A perfect balance of standing and seated postures in a 60 minute class that is appropriate for beginners and experienced yogis alike.

Beginning Yogis

We recommend starting with one of the Basic/Intro classes as an introduction to yoga, basic postures and breathing technique. For additional variety also explore any of the Yin or Yin & Yang classes which are also appropriate for beginners.

If you are new to White Lotus, please arrive for your first class a few minutes early to complete a new student form. Parking is available in both the front and back of the building and we have both front and rear door entrances.

Mats are available for a $1-per-day rental fee.

Our average class temperature is a comfortable 75 degrees.  Yin classes are slightly cooler which is more conducive to deep stretching of connective tissues and joints.  Temperatures for our 'Hot' classes range between 80-85 degrees to gently heat up the muscles for greater flexibility.  We are not a Bikram studio and our class temperature does not exceed approx. 85 degrees, as we do not believe there are health benefits beyond this temperature range.

New Students Introductory Offer:
10 Yoga Classes for $29*

All About Aerial Yoga!

Aerial Yoga Intro:
A gentle introduction to Aerial Yoga. You will learn proper cues and placement of the hammock to make Aerial Yoga a beautiful experience.  If you have never practiced Aerial Yoga this is a great place to start and we recommend taking at least 3 Intro classes prior to advancing to an Intermediate level Aerial class.

Aerial Yoga Intermediate:
This class is a beautiful Aerial Flow with challenging postures to create a safe and healthy way to open the body into a state of health. Aerial Yoga is a wonderful practice for core and toning the body. Aerial inversions are a safe, effective way to create space for a healthy spine. Benefits of inversions include: releasing spinal pain, improved blood circulation, decreasing depression, and enhanced immunities.  It is proven that inversions can actually correct posture, bring brightness to the skin, and most of all increased flexibility.

Whether Intro or Intermediate, at the end of all of our Aerial classes enjoy a relaxing savasana enveloping and cradling your body like a floating cocoon.  Please pre-register online for each Aerial Yoga Class you wish to attend on a first-come, first-serve basis.  Payment is required in advance to hold your spot.  Dress comfortably with regular yoga attire and avoid very loose fitting clothing.  Long sleeves and yoga pants vs. shorts are recommended.  Please also leave large rings, dangling bracelets and jewelry at home to avoid catching or tearing of the aerial hammocks.
